Skat bidding table

In the bidding you may only name values a game can actually be worth. This table shows them all: one multiplier per row, one game per column. Look it up here, or print it and keep it next to the table.

How to work out your bid

For suit games and Grand: bid value = base value × multiplier. The multiplier counts your matadors ("with" or "without" so many), plus 1 for "game" and 1 each for Hand, Schneider, Schneider announced, Schwarz, Schwarz announced and Ouvert. That takes a suit game to a multiplier of at most 18, and Grand to 11. Null is not multiplied; it has fixed values.

  • Spades ♠ with 2: 2 matadors + 1 for game = multiplier 3. 11 × 3 = 33.
  • Grand Hand without 2: 2 matadors + 1 for game + 1 for Hand = multiplier 4. 24 × 4 = 96.
